1. The Long-Awaited Final 10 Products with Anachronistic-Looking Packaging That I Found at the 99¢ Only Store That You Need To Know About, I Guess

This Table Maid Spread looks like it’s from…the late 1960s.
Proof of Its Modernity: “No Cholesterol” on corner of package.
Where You’d Expect to See It: In the tiny dairy case of a small grocery store where your family stopped to buy food on the way to spend the weekend in that cabin on the lake in rural New Hampshire 35 years ago.
Buy It Because: Those ears of corn on the front look so damn good, how can you resist?
    • Is it that bright band of red along the top? The toggled case typeface of “Table Maid”? Or the warm, grainy quality of the Serving Suggestion photo that makes this package design a product of a time long gone by? Oh, it’s all three, and it’s awesome. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve some corn to slather.
